The Dean of Students Office will host the 2013 Texas State Leadership Institute Conference on February 15-16, 2013. The primary purpose of the conference was to bring together students to learn leadership skills, engage students in values-based activities that foster personal leadership development, build a unified community, cultivate social responsibility, and inspire students to adopt a new way of life while expanding their leadership potential.
The theme for each year’s conference is based on the Common Experience theme and Core Values of the Leadership Institute. Next year’s theme will offer students opportunities to learn and more clearly understand global relationships, cultures, ideas, and communities and their implications for being an effective leader on campus, in the community and in the world beyond. It will also emphasize the core values of inclusivity, empowerment, and civic engagement.
